Indianapolis – Emmis Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: EMMS) has decided not to renew its contract with Nielsen Media Research for WTHI-TV in Terre Haute, Indiana when its current contract expires on Dec. 31, 2001.
“We felt the price increases that Nielsen demanded were unjustified based on the service provided,” Vanessa Oubre, Vice President of Research for Emmis Television, said.
Emmis already uses other, non-Nielsen resources in Fort Myers, FL (WFTX-TV, Fox 4).
