Selvaggi Named VP/GM of KSNT-TV in Topeka

Indianapolis…Emmis Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: EMMS) today announced the promotion of Ken Selvaggi, news and marketing director of WSAZ-TV in Huntington, West Virginia, to Vice President/General Manager of Topeka’s KSNT-TV.

“Ken has distinguished himself as leader, helping to build WSAZ to the dominant market position in news and programming,” Randall Bongarten, President of Emmis Television, said. “We fully expect that he will bring that same drive, enthusiasm and strategic approach to Topeka.”

Selvaggi joined WSAZ-TV as news director in 1993, adding the title of marketing director in 2002. Prior to joining WSAZ, he worked as news director at WOWK-TV, also in Huntington (1991-93), with previous stops in Pittsburgh, Louisville, Clarksburg, WV, and Philadelphia.

Selvaggi, who has served on the Boards of the Radio-Television News Directors Association, the West Virginia Associated Press Broadcasters Association, the United Way and Big Brothers-Big Sisters, replaces Gary McNair, who announced his departure from KSNT in February.

Selvaggi, a Duquesne University graduate, begins his new position immediately.
