Indianapolis – Emmis Publishing is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Klein as president of Los Angeles Magazine, effective October 1, 2001.
Klein has served as publisher of Boston magazine, which he led to unprecedented profits; chief operating officer/executive vice president of Homeportfolio, Inc. (a leading Internet site for premium home design products); and vice president of HookMedia, Inc. (a digital media company). In addition, he has held the position of associate publisher at San Francisco Focus magazine, California Network Publishing, Inc. and Levin Publishing Corp. Under the direction of Emmis Publishing, Klein will assume bottom-line responsibility for Los Angeles Magazine.
