EMMIS NAMES CHUCK DUCOTY GENERAL MANAGER OF Q101 CHICAGO

Indianapolis – EMMIS Communications today named Chuck DuCoty as Vice President/General Manager of Chicago’s WKQX-FM, Q101.

“After an exhaustive search, we’re very pleased to have found the right person for this situation,” Doyle Rose, President of EMMIS Radio, said. “Chuck has all the skills to help bring Q101 to the position it deserves in the market.”

DuCoty has more than 36 years of radio broadcasting experience, beginning his career while still in high school as a radio announcer, working in Wheeling, Pittsburgh, Richmond and Baltimore.

In 1979 DuCoty joined the staff of WIYY-FM in Baltimore where he held the positions of Music Director and Program Director before being named Station Manager in 1985. Since 1991, DuCoty has served as Vice President/General Manager of Milwaukee’s WISN-AM and WLTQ-FM.

DuCoty is a former member of the Arbitron Radio Advisory Council where he served as Chairman in 1998. He has served on the ABC Program Advisory Board, and the Maryland/D.C./Delaware Broadcasters Association Board of Directors.

He will begin his new duties with Q101 by June 1.
