Greg Loewen

May 27, 1971 – July 19, 2025

Along with his family, Alix, Madeleine and Hannah, all of us at Emmis are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our Chief Strategy Officer and Digonex President & CEO Greg Loewen.

Greg was a wonderful, trusted leader with the rare combination of confidence and humility. He was whip-smart, self-deprecating, and inspired confidence in all around him.  In addition to Chief Strategy Officer, Greg previously served as the President of our former Emmis Publishing division, overseeing a large portfolio of regional magazines including Los Angeles Magazine, Texas Monthly, and Indianapolis Monthly. In 2014 he became the President and Chief Executive Officer of Digonex Technologies, an Emmis Corporation subsidiary. He loved Emmis and leading Digonex and remained the Digonex CEO until his passing.

Services for Greg will be held in his adopted hometown of Indianapolis on Sunday, August 3.
