In addition to providing in-kind donations, Emmis entities assist their communities by donating money and resources to important projects.
The Youth Empowerment Program began in 1999 when KISS Cares Foundation decided to team up with the Boys and Girls Club of America to enhance computer literacy among today's youth.
The Youth Empowerment Program has been in effect for only two years we have already opened 20 computer labs.
The Youth Empowerment Project has just opened another Computer Lab! This time KISS FM brings to The Frederick Douglas Boys and Girls Club located at 104th Street in Manhattan. The KISS Cares Foundation has teamed up with the Intel Computer Clubhouse, where professional and student mentors develop skills and build confidence in the youth through the use of modern technology!
The KISS Cares Foundation is a charitable organization that donates all the supplies needed to open computer labs including everything from computers, printers, software and furniture. As a result more young boys and girls have the opportunity to not only accces state of the art computers, updated software, and internet service but get a chance to be educated on how to operate the technology by the staff at their neighborhood Boys & Girls Club. After 20 successful computer labs, KISS FM can't wait to lend a helping hand to more children in need.
