The Emmis Communications internship program is open to college students attending an accredited 4-year college or university. The internship program allows students majoring in communications or related fields to gain valuable experience and explore potential career opportunities. Opportunities, which usually last for a period of 12 weeks, are available for spring, summer, and fall semesters.
Students interested in opportunities with Indianapolis radio will be placed with WFNI-AM, WLHK-FM, WIBC-FM, or WYXB-FM. Participating departments include:
- Digital
- News
- Production
- Programming
- Promotions
- Sales/Marketing
Students interested in opportunities with publishing will be placed with Indianapolis Monthly. Participating departments include:
- Art
- Editorial
- General/Administrative
- Production
- Special Sections
Internship opportunities are also available in many of Emmis's other markets. See the Portfolio page on www.emmis.com for information on Emmis stations and publications located outside of Indianapolis.
- Minimum 2.0 grade point average
- Letter of recommendation from a university instructor, department chair, counselor, or professor
